Independent in Spirit. United in Ambition.

Our Vision

A Portfolio with a Point of View.

We believe creativity is most powerful when supported by discipline. Rather than imposing a standard model, GD Group brings together the expertise, capital, commercial capability, operating discipline and governance needed to help exceptional ideas flourish while protecting what makes them distinctive.

Our vision is to continue growing our established portfolio of businesses and assets, each recognised for its individuality, relevance and long-term value. In doing so, we aim to make an even greater positive contribution to the people and places connected to them. Each business retains its own identity and point of view while benefiting from the experience, resources and international perspective of the wider group.

What Guides Us

Three Principles. One Approach.

Three principles shape how we create, develop and support our businesses.

Individuality Matters

We believe the strongest businesses are not created through formula. Their value comes from original ideas, a clear sense of purpose and the people and places that bring them to life.

Long-Term Thinking

We look beyond immediate performance to consider how each business or asset can remain relevant, resilient and valuable over time. Our approach is one of long-term development and stewardship rather than growth for its own sake.

Stronger Together

GD Group's businesses operate across different industries and markets, but benefit from shared expertise, international relationships and commercial insight. This connected structure allows them to retain their independence while gaining strength from the wider Group.

Philanthropy

Enterprise with a Wider Responsibility.

For GD Group, enduring value is not measured only in commercial terms. Giving back has been part of Founder & Chairman Gordon Oldham's work since the mid-1990s and represents a continuous connection between his legal, hospitality and wider entrepreneurial activities.

The prevalent focus has been on people facing disadvantage, abuse or exploitation, particularly children and young adults. Across Nepal and other parts of Asia, support has included schools, healthcare facilities, vocational centres, hotel-management education and programmes assisting those affected by trafficking and domestic abuse.

Through organisations including Child Welfare Scheme and the Action Asia Foundation, this work has created practical opportunities for education, protection, employment and independence.

This philosophy informs how GD Group approaches business and investment. Growth should create opportunity not only for the group, but also for the people and communities connected to its activities. Business, adventure and giving back are not viewed as separate pursuits; each has the potential to contribute to something that lasts.
